Spring 2009 Progeny Report . . . |

| The first reports of Dual Focus calves are currently coming in, including one of the American Simmental Association Calving Project herds. According to Marty Ropp, Director of Field Services for the ASA, Dual Focus calved almost exactly the same on commercial heifers in the Calving Project as the proven reference sire, TJ Top Grid 110N. While traveling to bull sales up north, Gordon & Doug visited Beggers Diamond V Ranch in Wibaux, Montana to view some of the first Dual Focus calves. Bill Begger commented, “I think he is a heifer bull & I plan to use him again on my heifers this spring”. Mike Henderson of HRM Simmentals in Wiota, Iowa reports that he is currently calving heifers to Dual Focus and commented, “There’s no question, he’s a heifer bull”. Mike also stated that a local commercial breeder bred 40 virgin Angus heifers to Dual Focus last year & has calved the first 15 with no assist.
